Roberto Martinez: Could replace David Moyes at Everton

Roberto Martinez is Sky Bet's strong favourite to be the next Everton manager amid David Moyes' expected departure to replace Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United boss.

The Wigan manager has consistently headed the market with Moyes' future increasing under doubt as he has failed to extend his contract, which expires this summer.

However, the Spaniard, whose current side are 1/4 for relegation, has now been backed into 1/2 for the post with Sky Bet while the current Toffees boss 1/12 to take the reins at Old Trafford following Ferguson's decision to retire this summer.

Jose Mourinho is the only other contender to be heavily supported to replace Ferguson but has drifted back out from 11/10 to 7/1, with a return to Stamford Bridge considered more likely as betting on him replacing Rafael Benitez was suspended either in the week.

Sky Bet football trader Chris Spicer said: "Moyes was marginal favourite for the post this morning as the news broke but has attracted the majority of the backing throughout the day, prompting his price to plummet and leading punters to turn their attentions to his replacement at Goodison Park.

"Martinez was already favourite at marginally odds-on and seems to be facing little opposition for the post, with Phil Neville his next closest contender at 10/1."

ark clattenburg is one of those referees that tends to get stick from both sides cos he likes to let the game flow and is quite lenient, and people only remember the fouls against their own team that go unpunished whilst not noticing the ones they've gotten away with. To pick up 4 yellow cards with clattenburg in charge speaks volumes about your approach to the game mr pellegrini.

astly under-rated goal keeper. Barcelona could have gone out and bought a keeper at any point they liked, but they stuck with him for a reason.
