Massimo Luongo: Joins Swindon on loan

Swindon's transfer embargo has been lifted and the Robins have added three new players to their squad, signed before Thursday's 5pm closure of the loan window.

Dean Parrett, Nathan Byrne and Massimo Luongo have all joined on loan from Barclays Premier League side Tottenham until the end of the season.

Their arrivals were made possible by the lifting of the embargo, inherited by the new owners, once the Robins had satisfied all Football League requirements.

"This includes a £1.2million deposit and the payment of all outstanding football-related debt," a statement on the club's website on Wednesday read.

"The investment went ahead after taking legal counsel in relation to the outstanding issues and the Board and investors are satisfied that any outstanding issues will not affect their ability to take the club forward."

Midfielder Parrett, 21, who has made four appearances for Spurs, has previously spent loan spells with Charlton, Plymouth and Aldershot.

This is also the fourth loan move for Byrne, a 20-year-old right-back, who has been with Brentford, Bournemouth and Crawley.

Australian midfielder Luongo, who made his debut for Tottenham in the League Cup last season, has made nine appearances for npower Championship Ipswich this season during a four-month loan spell.

The three new signings boost manager Kevin MacDonald's squad ahead of the League One run-in as Swindon look to complete

back-to-back promotions.

put Ince in my fantasy football team, so it's no surprise at all really. I do that to players. Also responsible for De Jong and Upson being injured. Think I'll transfer in Di Maria just to ruin United....
