Millwall manager Kenny Jackett praised his players for the way they responded to a heavy home defeat by Birmingham with today's 3-1 win at Barnsley.
Millwall lost 6-0 to Birmingham in the npower Championship after having two players sent off.
But they bounced back to defeat Dagenham & Redbridge 5-0 in an FA Cup third round replay before today's win at Oakwell, much to the delight of Jackett who also praised the Lions fans.
He said: "It was a great response by the players after the Birmingham game.
"Since then we've won 5-0 and 3-1 at a very difficult place to come to.
"The fans have been excellent all season and to come up here on a windy day is fantastic."
Darius Henderson hit his second hat-trick in five days and his third of the season.
His first came from the penalty spot 11 minutes before the interval.
Barnsley's Miles Addison pushed Liam Trotter and Henderson sent Barnsley keeper Luke Steele the wrong way.
Henderson's second came when he beat the offside trap before side-footing home.
Fifteen minutes from the end Henderson made it three when the ball broke free and he blasted home.
Jacket added: "The linesman gave the penalty straight away and he seemed very confident that there had been a foul.
"We've been at the wrong end of a few bad decisions this season. I thought there was another penalty later for a foul on Harry Kane but he was never going to give us another.
"Henderson has been a vital player for us this season. His goals gave us something to hang on to.
"I thought his second goal was the hardest of the day because it was from an acute angle."
Barnsley boss Keith Hill blamed an assistant referee for getting involved in the decision to award the penalty from which Millwall took the lead.
He said: "It was not a penalty, 100%.
It was a controversial decision by the linesman, it was handbags at best. I thought the second goal was offside, the linesman made a mistake, it's a human error."
He added: "I am disappointed with result and the performance. We didn't take control of the game at any time.
"When we did have the ball we didn't retain it long enough. But we'll move on to the next game against Derby.
"We've got 19 games left and they are all winnable. The conditions today were awful and on a day like today it's great to be the away side."
Hill then had a go at his own side's fans.
He said: "Booing players for making mistakes is out of order. They've got to show some patience towards us.
The players are responsible for the mistakes they make."
Barnsley got a consolation goal two minutes from time through Jimmy McNulty.
