Coventry City have signed veteran defender Herman Hreidarsson until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old joins from Portsmouth and Coventry boss Andy Thorn hopes his experience, gained over more than 400 appearances in English football, can help the Sky Blues as they fight for Championship survival.
Thorn told the club's website: "I am delighted we have been able to get this deal done.
"Hermann has a great track record and is just the sort of player we need to bring experience to the squad.
"We've got a fight on our hands between now and the end of the season and he's exactly the type of player you want on your side."
