Thomas Rogne does not believe the glaring disparity between the respective strengths of the Old Firm squads would make a Celtic title win any less of an accomplishment.
Rangers lost their top scorer Nikica Jelavic to Everton on deadline day with Gers boss Ally McCoist unable to replace him.
With Steven Naismith and Kyle Lafferty out injured, the champions are devoid of much of their attacking power going into the second half of the season, notwithstanding the one signing McCoist did make in the transfer window, former GAIS winger Mervan Celik.
By contrast, Neil Lennon added Polish striker Pawel Brozek, Nigeria midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim and Swedish right-back Mikael Lustig to his already strong Hoops squad.
The Parkhead men are already one point ahead of Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and have a game in hand, which helps fuel the general assumption that Celtic's title win is now almost inevitable.
However, Hoops defender Rogne, 21, said: "It is a tough league to win.
"There are a lot of tough games to win and if we win it it will be a big achievement."
Rogne, indeed, does not believe that the loss of Jelavic has necessarily dented the Ibrox side's title hopes
"We don't focus on the other teams too much," the Norway under-21 international said.
"We know Rangers is a good team no matter what.
"At the weekend they didn't have Jelavic and they still won 4-0 (against Hibernian) so Rangers is always going to be a good team and so are the other teams in the SPL.
"I don't know what kind of figure he was at Rangers.
"Obviously he scored a lot of goals, he is a player you don't want to lose, of course, but they probably have other players who can step up and, as I said, they are always going to be a good team."
