Beram Kayal: Recovering from ankle operation

Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal is determined to return to action before the end of the season and defy the medics.

Kayal was expected to miss the rest of the campaign after being forced to undergo ankle surgery last month following a tackle by Rangers' Lee McCulloch in the Old Firm game at Celtic Park.

Israel international Kayal is refusing to give up hope of making a shock comeback before the end of the season.

"I had surgery three weeks ago on my ankle and the Celtic doctor told me to rest for four months so I came home to visit family and friends," Kayal told the Daily Record.

"More than anything, I hope Celtic keep their place at the top of the SPL and we win the championship.

"I am hoping to celebrate winning the title with the players and am looking to come back and end the season strongly.

"My situation is improving. I am starting my rehabilitation and there is a chance I will come back earlier than planned.

"I already miss football but the main thing is that I come back 100 per cent."

here has only been 3 players who made me hold my breath in dread when they picked the ball up anywhere near our penalty area...in their prime Scholes and Giggs... and always Drogba. Awesome player who on his day was the best striker in the world in my opinion.

remember him scoring a 25-yarder, either the season just gone or the one before, against Bolton at the Reebok. I've never seen a ball hit that hard before in my entire life. You could almost feel the shockwave from his foot contacting it 40 yards away in the stands. Didier Droga. You might not have loved him, but you just had to be in awe of him.

den Hazard, def. - 1) that girl in a club who makes eyes at you all night, who allows you to buy her a drink and walk her home arm in arm, who then gives you a suggestive kiss on her doorstep before declaring how tired she is and how she has to be up early the next day. 2) A cock tease.
