Jeremy Menez: Enjoying life at the top

Leaders Paris Saint-Germain continue the quest for their first Ligue 1 title since 1994 on Saturday against Evian with midfielder Jeremy Menez urging them to build on their recent form.

Big-spending PSG won 1-0 at Brest last weekend, their fifth successive win in all competitions and their eighth in nine games.

Menez told club website psg.fr: "We're riding a wave of positive results, even if the chasing pack are keeping the pressure on.

"Marseille are playing Lyon on Sunday night and one or both will drop points. We have to take full advantage of that."

Lyon head to the Stade Velodrome in high spirits after they came from 2-0 down to beat Lorient 4-2 in extra time and book a meeting with OM in the Coupe de la Ligue final.

Their battle this weekend takes centre stage as OM, who beat Nice 2-1 to reach the final, bid to continue their eight-game winning run in all competitions and move into fourth place.

After their cup heartbreak against Lyon, Lorient head to European hopefuls St Etienne desperate to secure their first victory since November.

St Etienne suffered a 3-0 defeat to Lille in their last fixture and the Ligue 1 champions travel to relegation-threatened Sochaux, who will be looking for their first win since they upset Lyon on November 6.

Nancy's 3-1 win over Auxerre last weekend saw them jump out of the relegation zone but they face a far trickier game against a Rennes side aiming to tighten their grip on a Europa League spot.

Breathing down their necks are Toulouse, who by the time they kick-off against Bordeaux will know Rennes' result and whether they can overtake them. Toulouse scraped past Caen 1-0 last week.

Things are tight at the bottom and Auxerre travel to a Caen side just one point ahead of them but on the opposite side of the safety line.

One side who are no longer in the relegation zone are Ligue 1 new boys AC Ajaccio. Four straight league victories have catapulted them off the bottom of the table into 15th and a match against struggling Nice offers the opportunity to put daylight between themselves and the relegation zone.

Ajaccio's latest victims Valenciennes take on the equally inconsistent Dijon with both sides desperate for points to avoid being dragged into the relegation battle.

Montpellier, who were made to work hard for victory over rock-bottom Nice, take on Brest with Olivier Giroud, scorer of their late winner last time out, looking to add to his league-leading 15-goal tally.

here has only been 3 players who made me hold my breath in dread when they picked the ball up anywhere near our penalty area...in their prime Scholes and Giggs... and always Drogba. Awesome player who on his day was the best striker in the world in my opinion.

remember him scoring a 25-yarder, either the season just gone or the one before, against Bolton at the Reebok. I've never seen a ball hit that hard before in my entire life. You could almost feel the shockwave from his foot contacting it 40 yards away in the stands. Didier Droga. You might not have loved him, but you just had to be in awe of him.

den Hazard, def. - 1) that girl in a club who makes eyes at you all night, who allows you to buy her a drink and walk her home arm in arm, who then gives you a suggestive kiss on her doorstep before declaring how tired she is and how she has to be up early the next day. 2) A cock tease.
