Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp ended speculation linking him with a move away from the club by signing a new contract on Wednesday, and then proclaiming Dortmund was "the perfect place to be".

Klopp has committed himself until 2018 and he was on top form as he explained his decision to the media at a press conference.

"It's an honour when one or two other top clubs think that you're doing a good job, but to be perfectly honest, I'm not the kind of person who constantly wonders whether the grass may be greener elsewhere," he said.

"It's no cliche when I say that it's always important in life to be in the right place at the right time, and for me, Dortmund is the perfect place to be."

Klopp says that, despite winning two Bundesliga titles and leading the club to the final of the Champions League last season, he still has some unfinished business.

"We've written an exciting chapter in our history here - maybe the most exciting and emotional one in recent years," he said.

"I just don't have the feeling that I have to pen the last chapter right now."

And if a club were to come calling, trying to tempt him to write that conclusion and open up a new book, Klopp has told them they would be wasting their time.

"I'm honoured by any interest, but I'm under contract with Dortmund until 2018 and they can save themselves the call until then," he said.

"I stick to contract, even if that may come as a surprise to one or two people in this business.

"So thank you, but no chance."

Those last few words were spoken in English, alluding to reported interest from Premier League clubs.

Klopp has made no secret that he would be able to earn more money in England - or in China or Russia for that matter - but his decision to sign a new deal on Wednesday confirmed that money is not his motivation.

"Jurgen and his coaches are top-quality experts and they are loyal, honest and authentic above anything else," said Dortmund's general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke.

"We know that we have in this team and there could be nobody who fits in with Dortmund and our philosophy better."

think that puts all doubts over Benteke's quality to bed. Can he do it after receiving the ball to feet, in the box, totally unmarked, on a warm, sunny afternoon in Swindon? Oh yes he can! This year is definitely Liverpool's year. YNWA.

ll very well selling all midfield and strikers but unless we bring anyone in that is better than what we had then it will be a terrible transfer window in my view. Sorted out the defense but our midfield and striker options look very light.

ove it when Jose accuses others of being defensive, cynical and playing to win. If I was Wenger, I'd get that quote laminated and framed - surely the biggest compliment he's ever received from Mourinho. You've got him riled Arsene - you're relevant again!
