Stuart McCall: Wary of Morton

Manager Stuart McCall is refusing to underestimate Morton in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup clash and plans to select a full-strength side for the fifth round fixture at Fir Park.

Well were runners-up in the Cup in 2011, losing to Celtic in the final, and McCall is eager for another successful run in the competition.

In an e-mail to supporters, McCall said: "We progressed really well in the cup last season, getting to the final, and our aim is to get back there again this May. But there can be no doubt that we face an incredibly difficult task against Morton.

"In previous rounds in this competition and in the League Cup, I have chosen to utilise some of the fringe players. As a manager you have got to weigh things up and the teams that we picked against Clyde and Queen's Park were more than capable of doing the job and they did, to their credit.

"However, with the quality Morton have throughout their side and the stage of the competition we're at and the financial implications that go along with it, we will have to pick the strongest side we have available to us."

ou realise this means he'll have more free time to tweet, appear on newsnight, and google philosphers... ban seems about right, but there will never be consistency from the FA, so that completely undermines any possible lesson to the kids. Apart from the lesson about being part of an important cash cow.

here has only been 3 players who made me hold my breath in dread when they picked the ball up anywhere near our penalty area...in their prime Scholes and Giggs... and always Drogba. Awesome player who on his day was the best striker in the world in my opinion.
