Mauro Icardi’s agent has warned any clubs wanting to buy the Inter Milan striker that he could be worth “at least €200m” in today’s market.
The Argentina international has scored 15 goals in 14 Serie A appearances so far this campaign and his form has seen him linked with Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Recent speculation has also seen Arsenal mentioned as a potential destination and Wanda Nara – Icardi’s representative and wife – has confirmed there is a lot of interest in her husband.
“Mauro is an important player and these are top clubs who have been following him for some time,” she told Corriere dello Sport.
“It’s right that such an attacker, one of the most important number nines in the world, has big clubs who care about him and consider him for what he is worth.”
Despite having a reported £98m release clause in his current contract with the Nerazzurri, Nara has claimed that Icardi could fetch “at least €200m (£176m)”.
“I prefer not to tell you who is calling me,” Nara added.
“It is I who talk about these things while Mauro thinks of Inter and is happy to be here.
“[The board] know that he has rejected teams that other players would not refuse because he has in his heart the Nerazzurri colours.
“I do not deny that there are many teams interested in him – much more than are being said.”
