Agent: Martial ‘studying’ potential move to Sevilla

Anthony Martial is looking into a potential move to Spanish side Sevilla, according to the Manchester United player’s agent.

Martial was used to a starting berth under Louis van Gaal last campaign but he has found it tough to break into the United side under new boss Jose Mourinho.

The Frenchman has only made seven Premier League starts this season, scoring one goal and assisting three others.

He has been linked with moves away from Old Trafford and most recently with a switch to La Liga side Sevilla.

And his agent, Philippe Lamboley, said it is an “option” they will have to look at carefully.

“We are studying the Sevilla option in detail,” Lamboley told ABCdeSevilla.

“Sevilla are a very good club, are in a good position in La Liga, play in the Champions League and have a great coach. That’s all I can tell you.”

Martial has previously acknowledged that he might have to knuckle down and accept his place on the bench for the time being.

“This is a test I have to get through,” he said earlier this month. “That’s the way things go when you are still developing as a player and it forms your mentality.

“It is difficult because the only thing you want is to get out there and help the team and you cannot do that when you are on the bench. But that is a choice I have to accept.”
