Aguero, Silva highly doubtful for Manchester derby

Manchester City pair Sergio Aguero and David Silva could both miss the derby clash with bitter rivals United later this month after picking up injuries.

Aguero and Silva have both suffered injuries on international duty this week, with both now highly unlikely to feature in the derby against Manchester United on October 25.

Aguero is certain to miss the Premier League game due to his paper hamstrings, with the Argentinean telling reporters after suffering a knock against Ecuador: “I think I’ll be a month without playing.”

Silva could join him on the sidelines after suffering a knock to his ankle for Spain against Luxembourg. Spanish newspaper AS report that he will miss between two and three weeks, meaning that a start on the bench is perhaps the most likely outcome.
