Alexis Sanchez admitted he was unsatisfied after his debut as Chile captain ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw.
Chile were held by Bolivia on Tuesday, with Sanchez assuming the captain’s armband for the Copa America champions.
The Arsenal forward was not content his both his and his teammates’ performances, and said that they “can’t settle” despite their successes this summer.
“I don’t like to lose. I always want to win, even more in the national team. We are the two-time champions, but that’s already gone. We must raise our heads,” he told El Grafico.
“It’s not enough to play a hundred percent. After being champions, teams look at you with different eyes. We can’t settle and play as before, we should strive forward.”
Sanchez also spoke of his unhappiness at ticket prices, which he feels should be reduced to encourage more fans to attend games.
He said: “I’d like the tickets to be dropped more, because it encourages them and it’s like playing with twelve. If people support, I like it a lot.”
