Xabi Alonso has recounted his time playing under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Alonso spent five successful years in the Spanish capital after joining from Liverpool in 2009, three of which came under Mourinho’s management.
Mourinho masterminded a La Liga title victory over Pep Guardiola’s brilliant Barcelona side in 2012, with Alonso at the heart of his side.
Mesut Ozil was also a key player at the Bernabeu during this period, before leaving in 2013 to join Arsenal.
Reports state that Mourinho is eager to link up with the German once again at Manchester United, however.
