Arsenal and Liverpool target could leave Monaco – boss

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has admitted that Arsenal and Liverpool target Thomas Lemar could leave in January.

Liverpool have money in the bank after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for £142m, while Arsenal are desperate for creativity to replace the outgoing Alexis Sanchez.

Monaco have previously suggested that the Frenchman will not leave until the end of the season, though being out of the Champions League – and far behind PSG in the title race – may lead them to take the money now.

Jardim said: “We are not used to selling in the winter. But the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen.”
