Aleksandr Golovin says he is flattered by interest from Arsenal, but admits he is not sure whether he is ready for the move.

Arsenal have tracked Golovin’s progress over the past year, and have been linked with a move for the midfielder this summer.

CSKA Moscow are thought to want around £10million for the 21-year-old, who would be Arsenal’s third signing so far this window.

“Of course, I will be pleased that such a club is interested in me,” Golovin told Sport-Express.

“In my opinion, every football player, regardless of age, wants to play in Europe. I’m not an exception.”

An Arsenal scout stated earlier this month that Golovin was not ready for such a big transfer, and that he would be “surprised” if the Gunners did sign him now.

When asked whether he feels ready to join the Gunners, he replied: “I can not answer your question. I did not train with this team. I do not know how it is.

“Yes, we played in the Champions League with rivals of this level, but I do not know the situation from the inside.”

Touchy.
