Mauro Icardi remains calm at Inter Milan despite reports linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Icardi was rumoured to be an Arsenal target throughout the summer, with the Gunners keen to bolster their forward line.
The Argentinean was valued upwards of £30million, but Arsenal instead settled for Lucas Perez of Deportivo.
The Inter Milan striker remained in Italy, and has started the season with three goals in three Serie A games for Ronald De Boer’s side.
After scoring twice in a 2-1 victory over Pescara on Sunday, the 23-year-old discussed his future with Premium Sport.
Reports have emerged claiming that Inter will offer the forward a new contract to recognise his continued excellent performances. His current deal was signed in 2015, and expires in 2019.
“Contract renewal? I talked to the team, everything is in place. I’m calm,” he said on Sunday.
