Arsenal to sign Aubameyang OR Malcom, not both
Arsenal will not sign both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Malcom, according to the BBC’s David Ornstein.
Ornstein is the best connected of all journalists when it comes to Arsenal and he claims it is ‘unlikely’ that the Gunners will sign Malcom, Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitararyan.
According to ESPN: ‘Arsenal have held talks with Borussia Dortmund over signing striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but are waiting for Alexis Sanchez’s future to be settled before completing a deal.
It is thought that Aubameyang is keen to make the move but Arsenal will not commit to his £55m fee until a £35m deal is done with Manchester United for Sanchez.
With that deal depending on Aubameyang’s former Borussia Dortmund teammate Henrikh Mkhitarayan agreeing to move in the opposite direction, a domino effect could be triggered by the Armenian.
Everton close to agreement with Arsenal to sign Theo Walcott for in excess of £20m. #EFC football/financial offer beat rivals. Likely played last #AFC game (397 apps, 108 goals). Money to go towards transfers – Aubameyang/Malcom + Mkhitaryan (Sanchez swap), unlikely to get all 3

Malcom would now appear to be the fall-back option (which is a shame as he is unsettled), Arsenal unlikely to spend £55m on Aubameyang and £45m on the young Brazilian.
