Arsenal want £50m for Alexis Sanchez; Chelsea keen

Arsenal are reportedly hoping to raise close to £50m from the sale of Alexis Sanchez if he refuses to sign a new contract.

The Chilean has been strongly linked with Bayern Munich this week after talks with Arsenal stalled and relations with his teammates have soured.

The Evening Standard claims that ‘Arsenal remain hopeful an agreement can still be reached with Sanchez but are increasingly resigned to cashing in’ on the Chilean who – according to Sol Campbell – would get in Arsenal’s Invincibles side.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus have all shown interest in Sanchez and Arsenal are said to be confident that will push up his price, despite him only having a year left on his contract.

The Guardian claim that Sanchez is at the top of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s wish list, but Arsenal would understandably prefer not to sell to a domestic rival.
