Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of centre-back Joleon Lescott on a two-year deal from West Bromwich Albion.
Lescott, a boyhood Villa fan, only joined the Baggies in June 2014 and made 35 league appearances for the club and heads to Villa Park for a reported fee of £1 million.
The England international makes the short journey across the West Midlands having previously played for Man City, Everton and Wolves.
Manager Tim Sherwood told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to bring Joleon on board.
"He's a player who has great Premier League experience and he'll be a huge help to the younger members of our squad."
The 33-year-old defender becomes the Villains' 11th signing of the transfer window, following the arrivals of Jordan Ayew, Jordan Amavi, Adama Traore, Jordan Veretout, Idrissa Gueye, Rudy Gestede, Scott Sinclair, José Ángel Crespo, Micah Richards and Mark Bunn.
