Atletico Madrid have delivered yet another transfer update with regards to Antoine Griezmann. Are you bored yet?

Griezmann has been linked with a move to Manchester United for the best part of a year, with the club seeking reinforcements in forward positions this summer.

The Frenchman rated his chances of moving to Old Trafford at “six out of ten” earlier this month, although he stated that staying with Atletico was more likely.

On Saturday, United manager Jose Mourinho was asked about the prospect of signing the forward, to which he told the media to ask chief-executive Ed Woodward, who is in charge of transfers.

Atletico director Enrique Cerezo was quizzed over the player’s future at the weekend too, and he was more unequivocal.

“Griezmann will stay here. Not here at the Calderon, but at the Wanda,” he told Marca, referring to the club’s new stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano.

The 26-year-old himself responded to constant speculation on Twitter, stating: ‘All the rumors are unfounded, I’m always Colchonero. My direction will be established after discussion with my consultant sports.’
