Bamford becomes 25th Chelsea player loaned out

Patrick Bamford has been sent out on loan by Chelsea in what is possibly the most predictable transfer of the summer.

Bamford had loan spells with both Crystal Palace and Norwich last season and failed to score in 13 Premier League games but has now joined Burnley.

Bamford becomes the 25th player loaned out by Chelsea this season, with Nathan Ake the only other Blue loaned out to a Premier League club.

He has not played a first-team game for Chelsea since joining from Nottingham Forest in 2012.

He has enjoyed loan spells with MK Dons, Derby and Middlesbrough, where he was named Championship player of the year in 2014/15.
