Banned Steele sits out Palace clash

Steele serves a one-game ban following his straight red card in last week’s 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle for allegedly bringing down Peter Lovenkrands inside the penalty area.
Number two goalkeeper David Preece stepped off the substitutes’ bench at St James’ Park and will continue on Saturday.
Mark Robins has no other new injury or suspension worries, but defender Rob Kozluk is still not ready to return due to a knee problem.
Central defender Darren Moore, midfielder Adam Hammill and strikers Iain Hume and Daniel Bogdanovic are all pushing for recalls as the Tykes, eight points clear of the bottom three, look to make up lost ground on the top six.
