Batshuayi aims dig at Conte after great start at Dortmund

Michy Batshuayi has taken a swipe at Chelsea boss Antonio Conte following his impressive start to life at Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgium international joined the Bundesliga side on loan for the rest of the season after suffering from a lack of game time at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi has scored five times in only three appearances since his switch to Germany and has questioned how closely he is being watched by Conte and his parent club.

The 24-year-old striker joined Chelsea in July 2016 from Marseille for £33million and only made a handful of apperances for the defending Premier League champions.

“I don’t know if Conte was watching my game,” said Batshuayi.

“Sitting on the bench, score a goal and then back to the bench is quite difficult to deal with for an attacker.

“It wasn’t always easy at Chelsea. I’m now playing with a lot of confidence.

“They are focusing on the Premier League and have an important Champions League tie next week. I hope it turns out well for them.”
