Becchio rescues Rotherham

Becchio headed in as the Millers held the visitors who had dominated the first half, taking the lead through Johann Berg Gudmundsson.
It was a different story after the break as Rotherham were in top for large periods in front of a crowd of 9,620.
Alex Revell had the first shot on target after three minutes but when he turned in the area his effort was straight at Charlton goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.
Jordan Cousins replied for the visitors but his shot from outside the area was rising as it went over the bar.
Johnnie Jackson lined up a shot from a similar position but was wide of the mark as Charlton’s patient approach work began to pay off.
The home side’s Paul Taylor took too long over a shooting chance and his effort was beaten away.
Franck Moussa picked up the first booking of the game when he tried to win a penalty but referee Darren Deadman cautioned him for diving with 17 minutes gone.
Joe Skarz headed narrowly wide back across goal after the left-back got on the end of a Frazer Richardson cross with Rotherham’s best chance a minute later.
Charlton took the lead after 27 minutes when Gudmundsson cut in from the right and curled a left-footed shot low into the far corner, a deflection off the foot of home midfielder Paul Green taking the ball wide of Scott Loach’s dive.
Revell got his head to a Skarz cross but saw his effort easily saved by Henderson.
The Rotherham striker was forced off after 38 minutes through injury, his place being taken by Becchio.
Loach punched clear when Moussa shot from the edge of the area as Charlton looked for a second goal, the keeper also being forced into a save shortly after by Tal Ben Haim’s shot.
Rhoys Wiggins shot just over in first half stoppage time as the visitors again pressed.
Rotherham started the second half with Lee Frecklington replacing Richie Smallwood and with less than a minute gone the substitute shot straight at Henderson.
Taylor shot over from a difficult angle as the home side enjoyed more possession.
Moussa was taken off after 59 minutes with Frederic Bulot his replacement.
Rotherham were denied an equaliser when Becchio got his head to a Taylor cross but Jordan Bowery was flagged offside as he forced the ball home at the far post with 62 minutes on the clock.
Rotherham pressed again but when Anthony Wordsworth laid off to Frecklington he shot wide.
Chris Morgan was cautioned when he hauled down Igor Vetokele.
Andre Bikey headed over from a Cousins cross in what was now a rare Charlton attack.
Rotherham got a deserved equaliser when Becchio headed in a cross from fellow substitute Ben Pringle after 69 minutes.
Becchio had won the ball from Ben Haim before laying it off to Pringle whose deep cross picked out the striker who headed in from close range.
Becchio was cautioned with 77 minutes gone after he disagreed with the award of a free-kick against him.
Pringle floated in a corner from the right but Kari Arnason headed wide at the far post as Rotherham pushed for a second goal.
Bulot nearly punished the home side when his shot from a narrow angle went under Loach but the keeper recovered to stop the ball crossing the line.
Skarz was denied by Henderson’s save as he headed at goal from a Richardson cross and both sides had to settle for a point.
