The agent of Liverpool striker Christian Benteke insists the Belgian is not looking to leave the club in the summer, according to Sport Witness.
Benteke joined the Reds for £32.5million in the summer from Aston Villa, but has struggled to acclimatise during his time at Anfield.
The Belgian has scored six Premier League goals this season – only Roberto Firmino has more, but the 25-year-old finds himself behind Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and now Divock Origi in the striker pecking order.
Benteke’s last goal for the club came against Sunderland on December 30, while he has only one assist this calendar year – against Arsenal in January.
Manager Jurgen Klopp insists the striker still has a future at the club, despite persistent reports linking Benteke with an early exit this summer. Chinese Super League clubs were reportedly interested in his services in January, but the striker rejected the move.
Sport Witness contacted Benteke’s agent, Kismet Eris, after the forward was linked with Arsenal by Fichajes. Eris replied that Benteke “was only thinking about Liverpool at the moment”.
