Karim Benzema insists he wants to stay at Real Madrid for “many years” amidst strong links to Manchester United.
The Frenchman is reported to be a target for Jose Mourinho but – after winning the Champions League for the second time with Madrid – he dismissed suggestions that he could leave the Spanish giants.
Benzema has scored 24 La Liga goals this season and started Saturday night’s Champions League final along with Gareth Bale and Ronaldo.
“I am happy here and I hope to be here for many years,” Benzema said in Milan.
“I thank the people in Madrid for being there for me and my family. Thanks to everybody because they are part of my life and we are going to be used to winning titles.”
According to the Mail on Sunday, ‘United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was in Milan last night watching Mourinho targets Karim Benzema of Real Madrid and Atletico’s Saul Niguez and meeting other agents at the Champions League final’.
