Berbatov blasts managerial talents of David James

Dimitar Berbatov has hit out at the management skills of David James in the latest example of a story we never thought we’d write.

Berbatov joined Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters last August after spending a year without a club.

The Bulgarian’s debut season has been blighted by injuries, with the Blasters struggling as a result.

They were tipped by many as pre-season favourites for the title after signing Berbatov and Wes Brown, while appointing former Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen as manager.

But Meulensteen was sacked mid-season, and replaced by former Liverpool goalkeeper David James.

James unsurprisingly failed to turn results around, and the Blasters finished sixth as a result.

Berbatov has hit out at his manager on Instagram with a picture of himself on a plane, accompanied with the strongest of hashtag games.
