Fabio Borini has labelled his time at Liverpool as “very negative” after leaving the club last summer.
Borini was the first signing made by Brendan Rodgers in summer 2012, but struggled to make an impact at Anfield, scoring three goals in 38 games.
The Italian joined Sunderland – the side at which he enjoyed an initial loan spell – for £10million last August.
“The move from Roma to Liverpool was very negative,” he told Italian outlet DiMarzio.com.
“I expected more consideration from Brendan Rodgers but I have no regrets at returning here.
“Now I feel fit and I’m scoring goals.”
