Bournemouth “targeted one side” in their emphatic victory over Chelsea.
The Cherries eased to a 3-0 victory over the reigning Premier League champions on Wednesday, with Callum Wilson bagging the first goal.
The English striker admitted after the game that Bournemouth’s game plan was to target Chelsea’s “weaknesses” on one particular side, believed to be Gary Cahill on the left of a defensive three.
“We’ve been working hard on this formation and today we’ve put everything right and come up with a fantastic performance tonight,” Wilson told BBC 5 Live.
“We knew Chelsea had weaknesses with their back line so we targeted one side. Everybody to a man put in a good shift tonight.”
Callum Wilson saying they were purposely targetting Cahill all game on live TV. That‘s all you need to know.
