Bournemouth v Colchester preview

Harry Arter is in contention for a place in Bournemouth’s squad for their home clash with Colchester.
The midfielder has been out of action since the end of September after undergoing a double hernia operation. However, he made his comeback for the reserves in midweek and got on the scoresheet.
Back-up goalkeeper Jon Stewart is struggling with a knee and thigh problem originating from his leg injury in the summer and he will not be fit, meaning manager Eddie Howe could opt against naming a keeper on his bench.
The Cherries have an outstanding record on home turf this season, having won five and drawn one of their six League One games.
Magnus Okuonghae, Pat Baldwin and Marc Tierney are pushing to return to the Colchester squad for the trip to Bournemouth.
Okuonghae missed last weekend’s win over Notts County with an ankle injury but has trained this week and faces a late check.
Fellow centre-half Baldwin played for the reserves in midweek to prove his fitness following a foot injury and full-back Tierney is also back in training after a shoulder problem.
But winger Simon Hackney is still on the sidelines with a back injury and striker Steven Gillespie misses out with a thigh strain.
Manager John Ward is considering handing Kayode Odejayi a place in the starting line-up after he scored twice as a substitute last weekend.
