Bournemouth v Scunthorpe preview

Stephen Purches is a major injury doubt for Bournemouth.
Midfielder Purches has been battling a dead leg this week and, although he has resumed light jogging, the club will assess the 31-year-old on Friday to determine whether or not he is fit to face the Iron.
Should Purches remain sidelined, Steve Gregory will fill in after coming off the bench to play 70 minutes of the 3-1 win at Preston last time out.
Striker Charlie Sheringham and centre-back Stephane Zubar both return from suspension, with Zubar vying for a place in the heart of defence with loanee Steve Cook.
Midfielder Mark Molesley is available for selection after a hamstring problem, but Shaun MacDonald remains sidelined with the toe injury which has kept him out of action for seven weeks.
Scunthorpe trio Garry Thompson, Eddie Nolan and Bobby Grant could all be in contention.
All three players sustained injury in last weekend’s win over Tranmere but returned to training this week and midfielder Thompson (neck), defender Nolan (calf) and striker Grant (leg) could all play some part.
Chris Dagnall missed training this week due to a dead-leg but is expected to continue up front, but midfielder Damien Mozika will miss out again due to the ankle injury that has sidelined him for the Iron’s last three matches.
Manager Alan Knill will therefore retain Oliver Norwood and Michael O’Connor in central midfield.
Jordan Robertson (ankle), Matt Godden (hip/hernia), Josh Lillis and Jimmy Ryan (both knee) remain long-term absentees as the Iron look to extend their unbeaten run to five league matches.
