Bournemouth ‘want Bradley Wright-Phillips’

New York Red Bulls striker Bradley Wright-Phillips is reported to be a target for a Bournemouth side desperate for firepower.

Wright-Phillips has scored a phenomenal 45 goals in 73 league games since moving to the MLS in 2013 and is said to be open to a loan switch to the Premier League, with ESPN claiming interest from the Cherries.

Last year’s Golden Boot winner would be an excellent short-term option for the Cherries, who lost last season’s leading scorer Callum Wilson to injury and only have Glenn Murray and Josh King as other strike options.

They have also been linked with moves for free agent Emmanuel Adebayor and Norwich’s out-of-favour striker Lewis Grabban.
