Bright news good for Shrews

The New Zealand international striker was forced to sit out of Town’s opening-day triumph over Burton at the weekend after he failed to gain international clearance.
That has now been granted but whether he features remains to be seen after Dave Hibbert stepped in to produce an assured display, contributing with the second goal in the 3-1 win.
Midfielder Lewis Neal and defender Mike Jackson both remain sidelined with respective ankle and knee problems, while Steve Leslie finally serves the last game of his three-match suspension following his red card at the end of last season.
Manager Paul Simpson told ShrewsPlayer: “It will be a tough game for us. Anybody who watched Ipswich against Coventry at the weekend will see that they’re a very good footballing side.
“They can play short, they can be longer to (Jonathan) Stead and (Jonathan) Walters, they’ve got pace with Lee Martin and (Jaime) Peters and they’ve got good footballers in there, the likes of (Liam) Trotter and (David) Norris. We know it’s going to be a tough game but what a fantastic game to look forward to.”
