Bristol City v Oxford preview

Bristol City will shuffle their squad for the Capital One Cup visit of League Two Oxford.
The Robins made the perfect start to their campaign with a 2-1 victory at Sheffield United and manager Steve Cotterill has confirmed that changes are afoot for the clash with Michael Appleton’s men.
Frank Fielding is set to keep his place in goal while Karleigh Osborne could make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a shin injury which ruled him out of Saturday’s win.
The likes of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Marlon Pack and Joe Bryan are also likely to be involved.
Oxford will be without goalkeeper George Long when they make the trip to Ashton Gate.
The Sheffield United loanee is ineligible for the Capital One Cup first round tie so New Zealand youngster Max Crocombe will make his fifth start for the club when they tackle the Robins.
Another player who looks set to join Long in the stands is Michael Raynes. The defender was substituted having suffered a heavy fall in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Burton and looks very unlikely to be involved. Johnny Mullins was sent on in his place at the Kassam and he will hope to start.
Appleton could also make a number of changes with the likes of Jon Meades hoping to be given the nod.
