Simeon Jackson’s cross was almost turned in by home defender Mathias Doumbe in the 19th minute before Snodgrass, stepping up to the starting XI after a substitute appearance against Ajax on Tuesday, took centre stage.
The former Leeds man set up Steve Morison for a shot which was saved by David Martin and then tested the keeper with a direct effort after cutting in from the wing.
Martin denied Morison again before half-time and made an excellent save as debutant Turner demonstrated his threat from set-pieces, before the home side finally showed as an attacking threat.
Declan Rudd had to field Stephen Gleeson’s long-range effort and then kept out Daniel Powell, with Luke Chadwick unable to convert the follow-up.
Morison saw a late blast tipped over as the game finished goalless.
