Turner is set to miss the beginning of the season after undergoing ankle surgery, with Manga also looking doubtful for the opening matches.
He suffered a knee injury during the pre-season friendly against Sparta Rotterdam but Cardiff boss Russell Slade has been given a positive update on Manga’s progress.
Scan results for Manga reveal there is no major damage to his knee, despite the club’s initial concerns, although he is still likely to miss the opening Sky Bet Championship fixture against Fulham on August 8.
“The medics said it is the lateral side of the knee. Bruno heard something when it happened, but his injury doesn’t look as serious as we initially feared,” Slade told walesonline.co.uk.
Slade has consequently ensured Cardiff’s back four does not suffer too heavily by postponing defender Ben Nugent’s move to Crewe until he knows more about the extent of his players’ injuries.
