Carra: Good luck to Balotelli in winning Ballon d’Or

Jamie Carragher has continued his feud with Mario Balotelli by wishing the striker well in winning the Ballon d’Or.

Balotelli sealed his protracted departure from Liverpool this summer, leaving for French side Nice on a free transfer.

The Italian joined the Reds in a £16million move from AC Milan in summer 2014, but scored just one goal in 16 Premier League appearances.

Liverpool legend Carragher reacted to his exit on Twitter, saying that, ‘Balotelli on a free is still paying over the odds by Nice’.

The striker responded in kind, describing the former defender as a ‘bad player’ and a ‘wonderful hater’.

Carragher, who once named his rival as one of Liverpool’s three worst signings of the modern era, has continued the war of words over social media.
