Carroll closing on return to fitness

The striker has been out of action since February after suffering a ligament injury, which needed surgery, during a 0-0 draw with Southampton.
Reports claimed the former Liverpool forward would be out for an extra seven to 10 days after injuring his ankle while putting on his trainers, but Carroll took to Twitter to tells fans he is not far away from making a comeback.
He wrote: “Training with the lads now so a couple of weeks to get match fit and then I’m back!!
“It won’t be too long before I’m back in my own dream team!! Counting the days!!!”
The former Newcastle striker has scored 14 Premier League goals in 46 games since joining the Hammers from Liverpool in 2013.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic will be hoping to boost his striking options after Enner Valencia was ruled out for three months with an injury to his knee and ankle during the 2-2 draw with Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League.
