Chelsea flop Radamel Falcao has been omitted from Colombia’s preliminary 40-man squad for the upcoming Copa America Centenario tournament.

The striker, currently on loan from Monaco, is Colombia’s all-time top goalscorer, but he has not featured for  Jose Pekerman since last October’s 3-0 defeat to Uruguay.

The 30-year-old was a second-half sub in the World Cup qualifier in Montevideo, but he has not featured in the five games since then and his international future looks bleak.

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca and Borussia Dortmund’s Adrian Ramos are expected to lead the attack for the tournament in the United States – which starts on June 3.

Falcao, who is the equal joint top-scorer for the Colombian national team with 25 goals, has played just 11 times for Chelsea this term, scoring once, and his future at Stamford Bridge also looks grim.

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado and Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina have been included in the squad.
