Cherries end rotten run

Lee Miller’s 14th goal of the season after only four minutes looked to be enough to earn the Cumbrians a rare away victory. But on-loan Derby defender Miles Addison’s header seven minutes from time earned Bournemouth a point and ended a run of five straight defeats for the Cherries.
Abbott had already been banished from the touchline when Addison nodded in Marc Pugh’s teasing corner after an angry confrontation with opposite number Lee Bradbury.
The pair needed to be separated by stewards after squaring up following a clash between Carlisle midfielder Liam Noble and Bournemouth substitute Harry Arter.
Miller had given Carlisle the perfect start with a fine volley into the roof of the net after Jon-Paul McGovern’s corner was only half cleared and Chris Chantler had lofted the ball back into the area.
Bournemouth would have claimed greater reward but for a host of missed chances from striker Wes Thomas.
