The on-loan Manchester United midfielder, who has scored 10 goals this season, missed the last three matches through suspension following his red card at Scunthorpe last month.
With Watford having lost all three of those games, Cleverley is in line to go straight back into the starting XI with Jon Harley likely to make way.
Winger Will Buckley could also be added to the squad for the first time since joining from Rochdale.
Buckley has been sidelined with a thigh injury but got another reserve run-out under his belt this week.
Jay DeMerit, Adrian Mariappa and Danny Graham all shook off minor knocks to play in Saturday’s defeat by Swansea and came through unscathed.
