Colchester v Tranmere preview

Ben Williams and Karl Duguid will be monitored ahead of Colchester’s final home game of the season.
Williams was forced out of last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth having suffered a foot injury, handing Mark Cousins his first start since September.
Midfielder Duguid, meanwhile, lasted 31 minutes at Dean Court before being forced off with a knock.
Otherwise, manager John Ward is expected to boast a fully-fit squad for the encounter.
John-Joe O’Toole made his comeback from a hamstring injury to take his place on the bench against the Cherries, where he was joined by fellow midfielder Lloyd James after he returned from his loan spell at Crawley.
Martin Rowlands was also available having overcome his hamstring strain but failed to make the matchday 16.
Andy Coughlin and Mark McChrystal are set to have the opportunity to impress Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore.
First-year professional Coughlin, 19, will replace goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams after Rovers’ regular number one received a red card during last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Hartlepool at Prenton Park.
McChrystal is poised to come into the defence for Ash Taylor, who will miss the rest of the season as he undergoes treatment to remedy a calcium deficiency.
Fellow defender David Raven could also get an opportunity, along with midfielders Martin Devaney, Max Power and Joss Labadie and striker Mustafa Tiryaki as Moore looks to run the rule over players whose contracts expire at the end of the season.
Despite the potentially experimental nature of his line-up, Moore is demanding an improvement on the showing against Pools.
“I thought we were sloppy,” he told The Liverpool Post. “We did not train particularly well on the Friday before the game. I told them afterwards it was unacceptable and it seems they carried the same thing into the game.”
