Antonio Conte says Chelsea are intent on improving their squad before the transfer deadline following the 3-0 win over Burnley.

The Blues cruised to a third win from their opening three games against Sean Dyche’s promoted side, meaning they top the Premier League table at this early stage.

However, it has been a frustrating summer for at Stamford Bridge as they’ve largely struggled to find a breakthrough in the transfer market, with at least one central defender still needed.

N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi have both arrived for fees of over £30m, while goalkeeper Eduardo is the club’s third signing of the summer, but a move for Kalidou Koulibaly is yet to materialise.

However, Conte has told supporters not to rule out movement in the coming days.

“We are working close together, the club and I, and we are trying to find the right solutions to improve this squad,” he said.

“We have four days to find this, but I am pleased to work with the squad I have.”
