Coventry v Burnley preview

Coventry have received positive news on the injury front as they look to end a three-match winless streak at home to Burnley.
Striker Clive Platt, who looked set to return for last weekend’s 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, is definitely back in the fold after a calf strain.
Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is okay having pulled out of international duty with the Republic of Ireland in midweek due to illness.
Winger David Bell has trained this week and is also back in contention after a slight injury setback.
The Sky Blues will, however, still be without Sammy Clingan, Ben Turner (both knee), Stephen O’Halloran (back) and long-term absentee Gary Deegan (ankle).
Burnley boss Brian Laws will be without defender Danny Fox for the trip to his former club Coventry.
The left-back sustained an ankle injury in the recent 1-1 home draw with Doncaster and subsequently missed last weekend’s win over Watford.
Fox’s absence has given Brian Easton the chance of an extended run at left-back after waiting more than a year for his first league appearance for the Clarets.
Striker Martin Paterson also missed last Saturday’s win against the Hornets with a thigh strain and will undergo a fitness test before Laws decides whether he will travel to the Ricoh Arena.
“Pato has trained this week and will train again on Friday with an assessment to see if he’s up to scratch for the Coventry game,” said the Turf Moor boss.
