Coventry v Reading preview

Coventry will assess Marlon King ahead of Andy Thorn’s first game in charge since being appointed permanent manager.
King, City’s leading scorer, missed Monday’s 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough with a knock but completed a small amount of training on Thursday morning and will be monitored ahead of the weekend.
Should the former Wigan man not make it, Clive Platt could step in as he did at the Riverside, or Freddy Eastwood may get a chance from the off.
King was one of two changes against Boro, and left-back Chris Hussey will also be checked upon having been replaced by Stephen O’Halloran due to illness.
Striker King, goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and midfielder Aron Gunnarsson were all offered new contracts on Thursday, the same day Thorn was announced as full-time successor to Aidy Boothroyd.
Jimmy Kebe could return for Reading.
The Malian winger missed the two games over Easter with a thigh complaint but is back in training and is available for Royals boss Brian McDermott.
He will certainly start if he is 100% fit so Hal Robson-Kanu will miss out despite scoring in Monday’s surprise defeat at home to Sheffield United.
Captain Matt Mills has returned to the heart of the defence after a month out with a groin injury and forward Noel Hunt is back after a foot injury.
Goalkeeper Adam Federici is back after missing nine games with a knee injury but has been restricted to a place on the bench due to the form of England Under-21 international Alex McCarthy.
A point at the Ricoh Arena would be enough to secure a play-off place.
