Crystal Palace must ‘run their b****cks off’ against Chelsea

Roy Hodgson has urged his Crystal Palace players to “run their b****cks off” if they are to get a result against Chelsea.

Palace face Antonio Conte’s outfit on October 14 in their next Premier League match after they suffered another defeat against Manchester United over the weekend.

They have now lost seven out of seven matches in the Premier League this season, while they have failed to score a single goal in any of their matches.

And Hodgson wants his side to give absolutely everything in their pursuit of their first points of the season.

“Christian Benteke won’t be back for a few weeks, so we still won’t have a recognised centre-forward.” Hodgson said.”Wilf Zaha probably won’t be back and Ruben Loftus-Cheek can’t play [as he is on loan from Chelsea].

“So there are three quality players I can name off the top of my head who could have helped us do a better job against Chelsea.

“But they’re not there, so it’s got to be the lads I put out there who go out and run their b****cks off – if you excuse my expression – to try to do the best job they can possibly do.”
