Cumbrians battle back

Terriers, beaten in their previous two games, looked to have got this one safely buttoned up when Scott Arfield added to Peter Clarke’s first of the season in the 63rd minute.
However, substitute Francois Zoko and defender James Chester headed Carlisle level in the first of four meetings between these two sides in the next six weeks.
Huddersfield went ahead midway through the opening half when Lee Novak drove the ball low into the box, finding Clarke in space six yards out and the Huddersfield skipper turned to poke his shot past keeper Adam Collin.
Huddersfield doubled their lead when Arfield, who had only been on the field a couple of minutes, swept a shot past Collin from 10 yards after Novak had touched the ball to him.
Carlisle were given a way back in the game in the 71st minute when Zoko headed home from close range after Gary Madine had flicked
on Frank Simek’s right-wing cross and Chester rose highest to meet a Berrett corner and thump home the equaliser.
