Dalla Valle's debut delight

Introduced as a substitute midway through the second half, Dalla Valle – signed on loan from Fulham on Friday – let fly with a blistering 20-yard cross-shot into the far corner within 10 minutes of coming on.
Bournemouth should have won by a wider margin but, boosted by a clinically-taken 20th-minute header by Danny Hollands, they wasted a string of first-half chances.
Goalkeeper Ben Amos pulled off several fine saves, but Marc Pugh, Liam Feeney and Warren Cummings were all guilty of wasting chances.
Straight from the second-half restart, Bournemouth doubled their lead – Michael Symes racing on to Pugh’s pass to beat the advancing Amos.
Oldham played with energy but seldom looked like breaking a goal drought which is now approaching 10 hours.
