Dortmund’s Aubameyang rules out move to Liverpool

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits he could be on his way out of Borussia Dortmund this summer but has ruled out a move to Liverpool.

Aubameyang told new German daily Fussball Bild that he will “100 percent” stay at the German side for the rest of the season but there were no guarantees he would still be there for the start of the next campaign.

“Nobody can foresee the future,” the 27-year-old said. “I love it at Dortmund, but I can’t say that I’ll stay for two more years, or five or 10. It’s possible that a club could reach an agreement with Dortmund in June and I’ll go.

“I want to be honest: When you are ambitious and also want to see something else … it’s difficult to talk about. Some players have ambitions, and therefore they leave and want to experience something new, you know.”

When asked if joining Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool would be an option, he replied: “I don’t think that’ll happen.”

He was also asked if Real Madrid remained his “dream” option if he was to leave the Westfalenstadion: “Yes, yes. That’s true but, you know, there is not only Real Madrid in this world.”

Meanwhile, PSG  have been linked with the Gabon international and the Daily Telegraph reported this week that Manchester City have a “strong interest” in bringing the player to the Etihad Stadium.
